Based on cognitive behavioural therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) looks to help those who experience emotions very intensely.
What is DBT?
Dialectical behavioural therapy, or DBT for short, is a type of talking therapy designed to help you manage difficult emotions. The aim is to help you learn how to accept these emotions and regulate them so you are better able to change any behaviour that may be harmful or unhealthy.

Jose Perez de la Cruz
My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative and flexible. My primary therapeutic approach is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, I have completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational interviewing, Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy. I am also conversant with mindfulness-based approaches to healing. I utilise elements and interventions from these therapies based on the individual needs of my clients.
My services include individual psychotherapy for adults, group therapy and training. I also offer Hypnotherapy (suggestion therapy and hypnoanalysis).
